Will it hurt?
Surgery is done under IV sedation, so most patients remember very little of it. Afterwards, expect swelling and soreness for a few days, managed with ordinary pain relief. The most common thing we hear at the first check-up is “that was easier than I expected.”
How long does it take?
One surgery day. You leave with fixed provisional teeth, not a denture. Your final teeth are fitted at around four months, once the implants have fused with bone, with two or three short visits in between.
Will they look fake?
No. Your bridge is designed to your face, your lip line and the shape and shade of your natural teeth — not chosen from a catalogue. Dr. Haverford designs every case herself, and you see and approve the design before the final bridge is made.
Am I too old for this?
There is no upper age limit. Our oldest full-arch patient was 91. What matters is your general health, which we assess at your consultation, and most conditions can be planned around.
What if I’ve been told I don’t have enough bone?
Full-arch uses angled implants to reach the strongest bone you already have, so most patients who were refused single implants are still candidates — usually without grafting. The 3D scan at your consultation tells us for certain.
